Visit of a UKAS Representative to the Accreditation Body of Montenegro

It was our great pleasure to welcome Mr. Rob Bettinson, Director for International Relations and Cooperation at UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service), to the premises of the Accreditation Body of Montenegro (ATCG).

This visit was organized as a continuation of the strong bilateral cooperation between our institutions, formalized through the Memorandum of Understanding signed in May 2024 between ATCG and UKAS. At the same time, the meeting reaffirmed our shared commitment to further strengthen and expand this cooperation in the years ahead.

During the meeting in Podgorica, we presented ATCG’s development journey and ongoing activities, while discussions with Mr. Rob Bettinson focused on key topics relevant to the advancement of accreditation, including organizational models, cooperation with stakeholders, safeguarding independence and impartiality, as well as addressing the challenges posed by today’s rapidly evolving environment.

Particular attention was given to digitalization and education, considering that ATCG has already initiated its digital transformation process. UKAS’s experience and the presentation of the renowned UKAS Academy provided valuable insights and guidance for further capacity building and continuous improvement of our operations.
