Bilateral Agreements


The Accreditation Body of Montenegro (ATCG) has established and continuously enhances bilateral cooperation with other national accreditation bodies, particularly with those from the surrounding region.

Bilateral cooperation contributes to strengthening institutional and professional capacities, harmonising accreditation procedures, enhancing the competence of assessment teams, and promoting accreditation.

Cooperation is implemented through:

  • the exchange of experience and good practice related to the organisation and operation of national accreditation bodies, application of harmonised accreditation standards and the implementation of documents adopted by European and international accreditation organisations;
  • the joint organisation of training sessions, seminars, workshops, and professional meetings;
  • the exchange of assessors and technical experts for conducting accreditation assessments;
  • mutual support in strengthening competence in existing and developing new fields of accreditation;
  • joint promotional activities aimed at raising awareness of the role and importance of accreditation;
  • other activities of mutual interest.

ATCG has signed Memoranda of Understanding and business and technical cooperation agreements with the following national accreditation bodies, members of EA:

  • ATS (Serbia)
  • BATA (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
  • IARNM (Republic of North Macedonia)
  • HAA (Croatia)
  • DPA (Albania)
  • BAS (Bulgaria)
  • MOLDAC (Moldova)
  • UKAS (United Kingdom)
  • TURKAK (Türkiye)

Through this network of partnerships, ATCG further strengthens its regional and international recognition and contributes to the stability and continued development of the accreditation system.
